Over an eight-months period during 2002/2003 UNCTAD is carrying out a study assessing 'CDM Challenges and Opportunities in the Rubber Commodity Sector'. According to information on the UNCTAD website, the study is expected to assess the rubber commodities sector in Malaysia and Indonesia. The stated goal of this project is to 'promote the possibility of Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) investment in the rubber commodity sector'.
